Dr. Josie Reynolds
Dr. Reynolds started college thinking she wanted to be a pediatrician, but she met a friend whose parents were a dentist/orthodontist who suggested looking into pediatric dentistry instead. She then worked at a pediatric dental office during the summer, and that made her want to pursue a career in dentistry. Once she was in dental school, she quickly realized she enjoyed treating patients of all ages, not just children. She’s thrilled she now gets to help serve our community by improving people’s smiles and oral health while working alongside a team of wonderful women!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Reynolds began her college career at Vanderbilt University, and she went on to earn her DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina. She has practiced dentistry for over 15 years and can provide a wide range of services from basic fillings to esthetic makeovers. Always working to improve, she has taken many courses through Spear Education related to cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and restorative dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and Alabama Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Reynolds and her husband, Bobby, have been married for 15+ years, and they have three sons, Parker, Mason, and Blake. She and her husband both attended Vanderbilt University, where he played tennis, and she was a track and field athlete (former 4-time NCAA Div I All-American who was inducted into the Vanderbilt Sports Hall of Fame). Today, her husband is in his 9th season as the head men's tennis coach for Auburn University. Together, they enjoy watching sports (especially those that their boys are playing!) and spending time together as a family outdoors.
